Officially Brain Dead!

Yay!  It's 10:31 A.M. and I am officially on vacation!!!  No work for the next 10 days!  This is the time of year that I declare "I will be officially brain dead for the nect 10 days" Lol...wish that were true!  There are some really good reads that I'll have time to tackle, spend time with friends that are coming home for the holidays and just plain ol' veg out...time to rejuvinate!  I'll miss the little twirps though!  =(

Brrr...It's Cold Outside!

So, it's 23 degress with a wind chill of 6 outside!  The roads are icy!  Most of the school buses made it, some didn't and now we were told we are on an emergency early-dismissal schedule because the boiler broke sometime early this morning!

I hope this doesn't happen too often...well actually it's not a bad thing for a Monday morning!  If we use too many early dismissal days, then we have to make them up.  So far, we've had 2 emergency early dismissals!  One more and it counts as a full day!  =(

Snow Day

Ahhh!  Snow days are here!  W00t!  Don't ya love them?
After much speculation over the past 2 days, it's official!  We're having a snow day today!

*extra sleep
*extra game time
*time to catch up
*hot chocolate

My mood has now officially turned to "happy" =)   Going back to bed now!  Muahahaha <3

Friendship

Friendship is a very important thing to me.  It always has been, always will.  Just recently, I've been a bit confused and down from mixed messages I've been getting.  I've been trying to deal with this as best as I can, but obviously I'm not being very successful!  It really stinks thinking that you might lose a great friend because of...honesty.

Telling your great friend that your relationship cannot be more than friendship really stinks because you may end up losing that friendship.  But wouldn't that mean that maybe that friendship was not as special or as strong as you thought it was...but it was and that's what I don't get about all this.

My Rant For the Day

Not many things bother me much, but I do have to vent on this one!   Here's what happened:

Little "Suzie" comes to class looking terrible!  Puts her head down on the table.  At morning circle time, I ask her if she'd like to sit on my lap and she does.  Little Suzie falls asleep.  Her head is warm so my aide calls the nurse.  About 10 minutes later, I wake "Suzie" up and she vomits all over the place.  This was such a heart breaking scene!  In the meantime, no one can get in touch with her parents or any of her emergency contacts.

As I'm cleaning up this litlle girl, who is obviously so sick and so upset, I ask her a few questions and she tells me she threw up at 6 am also...and yes, mommy said she had to go to school!  What is that all about!?!?!?!  Don't parents get it?????  A sick child belongs at home, where they can rest, maybe see a doctor???*hint* *hint*  How about all those germs spreading to the rest of us!...total outbreak!

Now, last week I was supposed to get my flu shot (because I work with children).  I have to have some kind of protection because of the constant projectile mucus, cough in my face, and now projectile vomit!   My doctor refused because I was sick...upper respiratory infection.  So now I've been on antibiotics and have to wait on that flu shot.

I've been spraying down the tables, the pencils, the sink area,,,you name it...it's been cloroxed and/or lysoled!

Wonder if I can somehow hose down (fumigate) the little ones as the walk through the door?!?!?!?!

Rant over!
